Where Do You Find the time?
Life is Busy!
Where do you find the time? I am often asked this question. Life is busy! It is so easy to get caught up in life and pulled in numerous directions. It is a frustrating experience running out of time and/or wondering where my time went. I am more aware of this since I have defined time as my single most valuable resource. There are so many things that are important to me, yet most of them are dependent on time. It is my only resource that is finite and cannot be replenished. The best I can do is create the illusion of more time through efficiency and making the most of the time that I have.
The most valuable gift I can give to someone or receive is time- being present. I cherish moments in real time. Face to face is optimal. Consider me old school- technology substitutes are just not the same. At times, what is important to me is complicated by previous commitments of time to things equally valued and this is where I go overboard trying to be in too many places at one time.
I long to be present and to cherish each moment as it comes. Are you living the life that you want to live?
We all have them. They affect our personal and business relationships. Unmet or missed expectations- is that not the crux of disappointment? Setting expectations in five easy steps.
Arguably, this is second to listening for gathering information.
Never has doing nothing been so easy.
Road Map to Your Dreams. This year I have been taking it quite literally.
My friends will tell you that I cannot tell a joke and although I am fun, arguably, that I am not funny.
With the exception of dreams and goals, it is important to keep all things in their proper context and/or maintain perspective.
I am content. Really, I am content! I have enough. I do. Most of my basic needs have been met and I am grateful. Is this at odds with wanting more? When is enough enough?
Today. Right here. Right now. What am I going to do with it? Am I going to treat is like any other day? I have been given a variety of experiences that allow today to be uniquely rewarding, if I let it be.
I dare say that the importance of athletics is underestimated by most. Perhaps, even by athletes themselves. I argue that there is a direct translation of skills from the field or court to real life that is often underappreciated.
I will say that sports easily make the top five most influential things in my life.
